At Arden University we believe that everyone, everywhere has a right to Higher Education.
Here's a brief explanation of our journey from providing flexible online learning in partnership with established universities, to being awarded full University title in our own right and becoming Arden University.
What makes the Arden learning experience special?
Flexibility.
At Arden University, your learning comes to you with 24/7, multi-device, multi-media learning materials and a leading edge ‘virtual classroom’ study portal called ilearn.
Over 90% of our students work alongside their studies. Many have family or caring responsibilities too. From watching tutorials on the train, writing assignments at the kitchen table or reading books in the online library whilst enjoying your beach holiday, you can complete your studies without putting your life on hold.
Need a little more structure? We have study centres in London, Birmingham and Manchester that offer full time degrees using our innovative ‘compressed blended learning’ schedule. You get all the same great online materials and support, with the addition of two days face to face seminars per week during term times. Find out more here.
Support.
Learning with Arden University means that wherever you are, you’ll get regular support from our expert tutors by email, phone or skype. They will guide you through your modules and offer advice and feedback every step of the way.
You will also be allocated a student support co-ordinator – on hand for any administrative or technical questions or just a chat when you need a bit of rallying to get that assignment completed!
And don’t forget, you’ll be interacting with your fellow students through our forums and discussions, giving you access to a wealth of alternative perspectives, approaches and peer support.
If you aren’t quite sure of which path to choose yet, our friendly admissions advisors can provide information and guidance to help you find the perfect course. They will also offer support throughout the application process, giving you the best chance of successful enrolment.
Active Learning.
Our academic team have synthesised the most up to date and robust research on what helps people learn well, progress well and succeed. This underpins our entire approach to designing curricula and course content. Alongside traditional texts, we use podcasts, webinars (online seminars) and interactive knowledge-checks to keep you engaged, focused and motivated.
Career Focus.
Academic theories can be fascinating, but we know that learning really takes place when you can apply it into real-life scenarios. We believe that learning should be active and interesting, so when you study with us, you will gain skills and knowledge that stick. Our students often tell us how quickly their studies build their professional capability, giving them confidence, knowledge or skills that often lead to promotion or reward.
